The Glowing study (clinicaltrials.gov identifier: NCT01131117) is an ongoing longitudinal observational study of normal weight, overweight and obese mothers and their offspring. In Glowing, women who already had one child are followed carefully throughout pregnancy and their children are followed during their first 2 years of life. We have successfully recruited all participants (300 women) from the Central Arkansas region. As of June 2015, 23 children will have completed the study. The retention rate for this 3-year study is currently 73%. The study will be completed in August 2017.
